Sponge Cake Roll |

A delicious, quite light and effective cake.
You need to learn how to make a roll, but it's not that hard. :)
- 1 glass of flour
- 15 dg sugar
- 4 eggs
- 0.5 glass of water
- lemon peel
- 1 spoon of baking powder
- about 1 kg of apples needed for the filling
- cinnamon (to be added to the apples), but only if you like it
- something on top: icing, glaze, icing sugar
- Grind the egg yolks with sugar. Add water, lemon, flour and baking powder.
- Froth egg whites. Blend with the dough.
- Pour a thin layer of the dough into a baking sheet inlaid with baking paper.
Bake in 180 Centigrade for 25-30 minutes.
- Prepare the filling: peel the apples, grate through large holes.
Sprinkle with icing sugar and cinnamon - however you like it.
Boil in a pot until all the water evaporates.
- Take the hot cake and put it upside down on some cloth.
Detach the baking paper (for instance, by pressing it down with a wet towel - comes off without a problem).
Quickly put warm apples on the whole cake. Roll the cake using the cloth underneath.
When the cake is all rolled up, roll it on the counter a bit.
Let it cool down on the cloth - it will get a bit harder and will keep the shape.
- Glaze the cooled cake with anything you like.
