Homemade Granola
Homemade granola with oat flakes served with milk or plain yogurt. Healthy option for breakfast, and with nuts or dry fruits - you control what's in it!

Ingredients
  • 2 cups raw oat flakes, whole
  • 1-2 tbsp sunflower oil or preferably coconut oil (olive oil somehow doesn't work here)
  • in total 3/4 cup of preferred dry fruits, nuts, seeds (I like cranberries, rasins, bananas, hazelnuts, almonds, cashews, sunflower or pumpkin seeds)
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup, or honey
  • sometimes you can also find in receipes addition of pinch of salt, few drops of vanilla extract as well - never added them, and was fine still
Directions
  1. Heat the oven to 120 Clesjus.
  2. In a bowl mix oats with oil and syrup well until coated, add fruits and all other ingredients.
  3. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Spread the oats out onto the baking sheet. Bake for 15 mins. Take out and stir them well. Increase temperature to 160C and bake for another 10 mins or untill lightly brown.
  4. Allow to cool completely before putting to a storage container (I keep in it a glass jar). Serve with milk or plain yogurt.
