I always liked photographs of lightning (as well as just looking at thunderstorms). Thus, when I finally has a chance to take some pictures (we moved to the country, without any apartment buildings nearby, and with a decent camera), I tried my best. And I guess that some of the pictures aren't that bad...

One issue though: my camera is not that great for taking such photos (Canon PowerShot S60). For instance, after a 15 second exposure you have to wait another 15 seconds for the camera to process and save the image. Of course, during that time a bunch of great flashes always show up... :) And when you start taking another picture, everything suddenly calms down (naturally).

The pictures below were taken in Pisary near Cracow, in the summer, during a single thunderstorm. The first thunderbolts were caught over the Raclawka and Szklarka Valleys.
